Local 15-year-old Thomas Butler was awarded a unique Sports Package worth over £400 (including physiotherapy treatment, Runners Need vouchers and legal advice) courtesy of Avadis & Co, after being the fastest runner to compete in the Highgate Harriers 5k race on October 17th. In what was an oversubscribed and very high-level affair, Thomas won the race with an impressive personal best of 6 minutes, 24 seconds, putting him in the country ‘s top 10 for the 5k distance.
We caught up with Laurie after the event: “our association with Highgate Harriers has shown us how passionate their volunteers are to develop youth athletics in Camden. North West London is fortunate to have such a valuable resource and as family law solicitors we are particularly aware of the importance of encouraging young people to channel their energy into self-improvement.”
We congratulate Thomas and indeed all the runners that took part in the event, and look forward to further collaborative efforts with the Highgate Harriers.
