The 25th-29th November 2013 saw the second annual Family Dispute Resolution Week courtesy of Resolution. Resolution, formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association (SFLA), is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales. A core belief in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters exists at the heart of the organisation. Members also campaign for improvements to the family justice system. Legal Aid is still available for mediation cases and the awareness-raising week aims to highlight alternatives to court for separating couples and their families.
